🌈 Ever since I was a little girl, Majesty Father God blessed me with a childlike imagination. As I grew older, that gift never left me. Through prayer, teaching, raising my family, and caring for others, I learned to see His loving fingerprints in everyday life. People often ask where my Virtuepops universe comes from. Whenever I look at our world, I wonder, "What if every heart, every home, every school, every community, and every nation reflected the love, beauty, peace, joy, and virtues of Heaven?" Those thoughts became the inspiration behind the Virtuepops, Paradise Animals, Virtueland, Bobble Pops, Rainbow Adventures, and the many places, characters, and surprises throughout my books. I do not claim to know exactly what Heaven looks like. Only Majesty Father God knows that glorious mystery. Yet I believe He gives each of us gifts to share His goodness with the world. In different ways, He invites us to use those gifts to help others. Through my books, I strive to imagine and share what our world could become when we choose to live His victorious virtues. I do not write to escape this world. I write to imagine what our world could become when we allow God's virtues to live within us. As a single mother of three sons, I earned my degree in Elementary Education, an endorsement in Language Arts, and a minor in Psychology while raising my family. My greatest education, however, came from teaching, caring for children, supporting families, encouraging the elderly, and witnessing the strength of faith, hope, perseverance, and love. Light After the End is one example of the culmination of my Virtuepops journey, bringing together the Virtuepops, Paradise Animals, and Virtueland. It reflects my lifelong dream of inspiring readers to help build a little more of Heaven here on Earth by choosing love over hatred, kindness over indifference, and forgiveness over bitterness. 🌟So that, with every trial and challenge withstood and every danger overcome, for the sake of our future, our children, our grandchildren, and all who come after us, this world will always practice virtuous works in helping and protecting each other.
👶As a mama/grandma, caregiver, teacher, and author, I write my books for the betterment of our society. That begins with the children! And continues with the adults who should model a happy life filled with virtues. It’s my greatest desire that my virtue books and virtue products be of valued assistance to (all caregivers) parents, teachers, and anyone else responsible for Pre-K children, unborn babies, school-age children, teens, and the aging and elderly’s welfare.

- 👀When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
🤗In my early high school years, I wrote poetry as a fun hobby. After having children, I continued to create poems, songs, and stories that would help them throughout their lifetime. Through my daycare, school I taught at, my children’s youth groups, my children’s extra-curricular activities, and senior citizens groups, I continued to create poems, songs, and stories that would help them throughout their lifetime.
- 👀What inspired you to start writing children’s books, and was there a particular moment or story that sparked your journey as an author?
🤗I was inspired from building a snowman (2009) with my grandchildren, to build a creation of fun, how-to, self-help, and educational books. My inspiration was sparked from viewing children’s cartoons and movies (2009) to create moral, respectful, and virtue-filled stories, attention-getting context, life-changing content, and colorful lively illustrations to instruct children, their caregivers, and readers about the importance of teaching and exercising virtues in educational and entertainment arenas.
- 👀Children’s literature often holds powerful lessons. What themes or messages are most important for you to convey in your books, and why?
🤗The life-changing virtues and the importance of teaching and exercising the POP are important themes and messages I convey in my books, that serve as life-changing positive and powerful lessons. Because the virtues and the POP has greatly helped me, and others that I know, to contentedly cope with and overcome challenges, trials, and sorrows amid sickness, stress, and suffering.
- 👀Can you walk us through your creative process? How do you develop your ideas, characters, and stories to connect with young readers?
🤗My creative process stems from real-life circumstances shared by children, teens, aging adults, family, friends, co-workers, and people at social events I’ve attended.
- 👀Your Virtuepops series has already been published—what has been the most rewarding reaction or feedback you’ve received from children or their families?
🤗That reading my books has created a fun-loving bond between the caregiver and person being read to. And that my books have given positive ways to discipline, learn from, and entertain.
- 👀What do you think makes children’s books so impactful, not only for kids but for the adults who read them as well?
🤗Children’s books written that give its readers wonderful ways to have good peaceful feelings and emotions during sickness, stress, and suffering have a positive lifelong impact.
- 👀As a writer, what challenges have you faced in crafting stories for young audiences, and how have you overcome them?
🤗Creating my author/business website and social media accounts with little outside earthly help or guidance. I overcame my challenges by fervently exercising the POP (my books reveal the marvelous mystery of the POP that works like a charm).
- 👀Many children’s book authors collaborate with illustrators to bring their stories to life. Can you tell us about the process of working with illustrators and how that partnership influences your vision?
🤗From 2010 to 2012, I worked with my dear friend and illustrations assistant, David. Our working relationship was a joyful process for us both. We both shared visions of never giving up on my #ValueVirtue mission to change the world for the better. I have faith that he is watching my books come to life from his front row seat in Heaven.
- 👀What advice would you give to aspiring writers, especially those looking to break into the world of children’s literature?
🤗Before investing your money into publishing companies, marketing companies, or social media marketing managers, read their reviews and study research about the success of the business in making books rise to best sellers on the #1, 5-STAR charts.
- 👀When do you think you will feel success?
🤗I will feel success when VIRTUE becomes a household word, my virtues books are exercised in entertainment and educational arenas, and I get positive feedback from my readers. I will feel even more success when my virtue-centered toys, clothing, and more are produced and manufactured, and I get positive feedback from consumers. Consumer example, “It’s wonderful to see that when my little girl plays with a Respectful Ruth doll, she learns the virtue of respect. And she learns to show and share.” Consumer example, “It’s totally awesome to see that when my boy plays with a Patient Peter action figure, he learns the virtue of patience. And he learns to show and share.” And so on. With everything nicely combined, that’s feeling success to me!!
