In one simple sentence, this is my true, dedicated, and sacred belief; Virtues are the precious vessels worthy of the world’s reverence and the best word for virtues is love. My Virtuepops, Rainbow Adventures, and Bobble Pops series books reflect my fun, educational, and loving personality and they are decorated with the Power of Prayer (POP). My readers should be able to vouch for my children’s series books that embrace wonderful life-changing messages. They are marvelous self-help messages that highlight how to educate children and their caregivers with happy healthy habits that I call victorious virtues so that they may have a happy healthy life. When it comes to making life better for children and their caregivers, I consider myself an advocate for both.
I shall POP in a sincere story about the child-loving heart in me. Growing up as the oldest child, I was mainly responsible for taking good care of my four younger siblings whom I dearly loved. I happily loved and sheltered my own children and the children I cared for in my safe in-home daycare. Furthermore, I worked as a dedicated, respectful, and caring teacher in elementary education and special education.
I also tutored children that were out of school due to illness and/or being suspended or expelled from school, mainly because of negative and/or threatening behavior. I feel I helped them change their lives for the better because I used virtuous motivation to inspire them to do good in and out of school. I’ve had positive feedback from principals and teachers about the children I have tutored. They stayed in school, graduated, and became healthy-minded successful individuals, thanks to the recipe for blending the victorious virtues with school lessons.
I thoroughly enjoyed my adventuresome life experiences with children and have always taken a positive approach to child-rearing. I am thankful I was gifted with a positive reward system for handling discipline with children and teens alike. I am thankful to have three wonderful, loving, and caring sons who were a joy to raise. I feel blessed that they have become responsible, kind, and loving adults. Which I believe is mainly due to training them well with happy healthy habits that centered around living a moral, decent, virtuous and Christian life decorated with the POP.
When my three wonderful sons were two years old, six years old, and ten years old, I began attending college to earn a teaching degree in Elementary Education. As a single mother, it took me six years. I am thankful for the government grants, college loans, and grants I was awarded that allowed me to be able to pursue my dreams of being a teacher. To name a few, the Orville Redenbacher Award, the Avon Award, and the Sallie Award. At the community college, I felt honored to make the National President’s Honor List. At the private college, I felt honored to make the National Dean’s List in Recognition of Outstanding Academic Achievement.
During that time, I remained devoted to my sons’ sports activities, school, church and youth group, and extracurricular activities. Upon graduation, I received my Elem. Ed. Degree, along with an endorsement in Language Arts, and a Minor in Psychology. I was successful in both my obligations to my sons and my teaching career. I achieved success because I exercised the virtues of patience, perseverance, and faith. Yes, with the POP, I did it all and achieved success. My perfect point is to never give up on your dreams. For with hard work that holds hands with the victorious virtues, I believe that anyone can achieve success as well.
I am not a perfect woman. Yet, I have and always will strive to do the righteous thing for myself and others. I failed at times as we all do. It is important to understand that during my trials, sufferings, and challenges, I found the courage, hope, and faith to humble myself, persevere, pick myself back up, learn my lessons, and begin and end my days with a happy hopeful heart.
After sixteen years of writing and illustrating, I learned the importance of creating a detailed Author Bio. After looking into how I should structure this, I came to the determination that most author bios highlight their accomplishments, both personal and professional. Which seemed quite challenging for me. This is because I do not want to appear as an overly boastful person, as everything that I have accomplished, and for all my dreams that have come true, I owe it to Father Majesty God and His Crowned Kingdom. Yes, Father Creator God gets the Glorious Glory. After all, He is the Author of my life and all it entails. So, there you go and now you know that my successful road was beautifully lined with the POP. Let’s joyfully POP on!
My Paradise Animals Teen Short Stories two-book series reflects how my heart, mind, and soul is dedicated to the welfare of our teen population. My Paradise Animals Adult Short Stories reflect how my heart, mind, and soul is dedicated to the welfare of adults and our aging population. With my whole heart and physical strength, I devote myself to the mental, physical, emotional, and financial welfare of our aging. I have taken care of many aging patients that need care both in and out of the hospital. I volunteered at social organizations to keep the elderly company. Yes, it was difficult and stressful at times. Yet, I loved to see the joy on their faces, which was more than enough to keep me coming back, time after time.
Still to this day I try to find new and innovative ways to joyfully and lovingly serve those who need help and have no one else around to care for them. Frequently, I see aging people whose families forget about them, leave them to someone else’s care, or put them in nursing homes. I remember, once upon a time, when grandmas, aunts, uncles, and/or cousins lived together and happily shared the responsibility of caring for the children and aging adults.
Although that scenario is rare in our society today, it’s never too late to bring empathy and devotion back to the care of our children and aging population. I will do my best to contribute.
My book, Part Two of The President’s Victor, reflects how I advocate for preventing child abuse. There are so many ways that some mentally-disturbed or angry human beings abuse children. Therefore, keep your eyes and ears open for the signs of a child suffering from child abuse. Please make yourself aware of the surroundings of children and who they are in contact with. If you suspect child abuse or know of anyone being abused, please contact the proper authorities. For your own inner peace in knowing the child is getting the proper help, follow up with those you can trust to have the child’s best interest at heart. I will do my best to petition, support, and pray for the abused and any organization that helps stop child abuse. Will you join me?
To sum up, I will do my best to make a positive difference in the lives of both young and old. I have strong faith that if everyone practiced moral and virtuous ways of living, our world would be a safer, happier place to live. In our society today, words like morals and values are rarely heard, much less practiced. Bringing back those old-fashioned, but treasured, virtues was my calling. Therefore, I joyfully say, “Be happy. Be a POP! Happy Virtuetime Reading!
