As an educator who had great success exercising the virtues with my learners, I can attest that such inspiration emerges when you cheerfully create an emotionally positive atmosphere, that excites our learners, helps them focus, and holds their attention. The “teachers” must remain inspired, enthusiastic, and passionate in their role as teachers to create a positive atmosphere. They do this by gaining a deeper understanding of their content, their goals, teaching skills, and how best to support their learners. Then, they will be better able to maintain positive emotional growth and positive emotional improvement as core facets of their teaching.
The virtues are essential for positive lifelong learning and growth that cheerfully center on faithfully exercising moral living. A teacher’s cheerful view is vital. For when the emotional teaching of virtues is valuably taught with cheer, not anger or doubt, then a teacher’s view of both in-home and in-school teaching becomes a pleasant, positive, and productive environment.
Likewise, a student’s view is vital. For when the emotional learning of virtues is valuably learned with cheer, not anger or doubt, then a student’s view of both in-home and in-classroom learning becomes a pleasant, positive, and productive environment. Please note that when I refer to the teacher, I also refer to the parent and caregiver.
Let’s cheerfully see teacher Therese’s purely pleasant, positive, and productive examples of virtues in teaching action. Because learning virtues embraces a happy content life wrapped in positive emotions and feelings.
